Article Archive > Neptune man gets 5 months for neglecting pet pit bull Neptune man gets 5 months for neglecting pet pit bull NEPTUNE - Steve Foster, 19, of Ace Avenue, was sentenced in municipal court to five months and four days in jail for neglecting his pet pit bull, Monmouth County SPCA police chief Buddy Amato announced. Benz, the 1 1/2-year-old pit bull, was emaciated and 'at death's doorstep' when SPCA officers found him on Sept. 22, said Amato, of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The dog was nursed back to health, and was recently adopted, Amato said. |
