Mayra Delgado, 25, of Oakwood Place was fined $575 for abandoning her pet cat last month, said Victor "Buddy" Amato, chief law enforcement officer for the Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Amato said neighbors called the MCSPCA after seeing the emaciated cat roaming the area and begging for food. Amato said one neighbor told him the animal had belonged to Delgado, who then admitted to the abandonment. |
