Two men sought after chihuahuas thrown from car in Middletown
MIDDLETOWN - The Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is looking for two men believed to have thrown two dogs out of a moving vehicle Tuesday night, officials said.
Witnesses at the scene told Chief Buddy Amato of the Monmouth County SPCA that they saw a lime green, four-door, Mitsubishi-type vehicle with tinted windows traveling on Bayside Parkway, between 7:30 and 8 p.m., with two dark-skinned men inside, officials said. Witnesses then saw two chihuahuas thrown out the window of the moving car, according to officials.
The dogs, one male and one female, suffered minor injuries and were taken to Red Bank Animal Hospital, Red Bank, where they were treated and released to the Monmouth County SPCA.
Amato is asking anyone with more information about the car or the occupants to call him at 732-312-7153.
