| Protecting kids isn't a big priority for some | |||||||

The election season is coming around again, and I think it is a good time to tell elected lawmakers that you want the perverts out of the martial arts industry...right now. Since the martial arts became a prominent practice on the East Coast, beginning in the 1950's some good people have taught a lot of kids some great concepts of physical fitness and self-defense Then again, because lawmakers have been too soft on perverts and pedophiles, there have also been children molested by a small segment of martial arts teachers that have not been checked for any criminal record whatsoever. I am a former police officer and have worked hard all my life for maintaining a credible business in my community. However, in the martial arts industry, there has also been every form of low gutter life in pajamas that has lured children into their schools with every imaginable form of "Hook". I tried to get lawmakers to draft a bill that would mandate all martial arts teachers get background checks before they are issued a business license. But every lawmaker that has ever been associated with this bill has backed off. They backed off because, believe it or not, perverts in the martial arts business have some kind of sick group that writes into elected officials about to enact responsible laws and they scare them. Yeah, no joke. I'm with you on this one. "Who gives a good gosh darn about what some two-bit, flea ridden piece of...garbage...has to say about a law that would put their...selves...out of business?" Obviously, our elected officials do. I'm not naming names here, because, despite their monumental weakness and timidity, I would welcome any lawmaker who wants to prevent child abuse to get going with this law. Nationwide, hundreds of children a year are sexually and physically molested by martial arts instructors. And, New Jersey is part of these sad statistics. If you were bringing your child to public school, the teachers you leave your kids with have a criminal check done. The same is said about the bus drivers, the lunchroom monitors, the security guards, the secretaries, maintenance men, etc. Only in the martial arts industry could pedophiles successfully hide and lure their prey in through the front door, and elected lawmakers are too weak-willed and spineless to do something about it. The reason that this perverted "Our gang Kids" group of martial arts perverts successfully bully legislators is because they cry "governmentalization" and "Government interference" of business. Well, if the government can save one kid from getting raped or beaten or even killed because of a background check and a responsible government decision, then I say go for it.! Regulate the industry until the cows come home. Credible martial arts teachers won't care if someone runs a background check...because they are honest and for real.
