Sensei Jerry Burgos's Teaching Philosophy:
The teaching of children is an instructor's greatest challenge and accomplishment in that it requires a sensitive mind with a lot of flexibility;
it's a great responsibility to me because they're the next
generation of instructors to come up through the dojo ranks.
I enjoy making it a fun and easy learning environment while emphasizing the importance of passing along the honorable ways of the art like:
- Truthfulness
- Courtesy
- Restraint
- Loyalty
- Service
These are stout characteristics they can take with them outside the dojo and apply it in the real world.
