Sensei Jerry Burgos's Teaching Philosophy: The teaching of children is an instructor's greatest challenge and accomplishment in that it requires a sensitive mind with a lot of flexibility; it's a great responsibility to me because they're the next generation of instructors to come up through the dojo ranks.

Fighting Stance I enjoy making it a fun and easy learning environment while emphasizing the importance of passing along the honorable ways of the art like:

  • Truthfulness
  • Courtesy
  • Restraint
  • Loyalty
  • Service

These are stout characteristics they can take with them outside the dojo and apply it in the real world.

A Bit About Sensei Jerry Burgos: I am a 17 year police veteran who has been blessed with working various specialty assignments throughout my career. I am the co-founder of the Safety Awareness and Rape Prevention Program for Women designed to empower women with knowledge of crime patterns as well as hands on techniques to lessen their chances of being a victim.
