Sensei Robert Kuter's Teaching Philosophy:
Knowledge is a gift. I believe that
learning never stops, and for instructors, teaching is understanding and
conveying that gift. It is a privilege to be given.
I have very definitive views on achievement.
When students say they can't,
it means that they quit on themselves and for those within their life.
Not good!
For me, Can't is not defined as not being able ; but
- -"Can" - accomplish and be successful by:
- "T" -technique ; training ; thought (superior mind set).
In other words, the ability to achieve is always there.
Students need to believe in themselves to succeed.
I break techniques down to their simplest form and let the students learn to develop their skills with the tools given to them.
When the interest is sparked,
students will thirst for knowledge to further themselves;
this makes it exciting to learn and provides a goal to achieve.
In short, superior mind set (remaining calm , focused); superior tactics (technique,skills) ; superior attitude (confidence in your training and self)
will all combine and make it worthwhile.
